Anna Maria Chlumsky was born in the US. Her acting career began as an infant and was first famous for her role as Vada Sultenfuss, the character from the film My Girl and its sequel My Girl 2. Following her initial roles in the film, she paused between 1999 and 2005 in order to go to university. Anna Chlumsky is a Chicago Illinois born native of the city. She was born to Nancy Chlumsky, Sr. and Frank Chlumsky Jr. on the 3rd of December, 1980. Her mother worked as a flight attendant and her father works as a chef. Although her mother sings and perform, her dad also plays saxophone. As a young girl she became a model at Marshall Fields. Their parents split when she was just two years old, and she was raised by a single mother. She was a child model for Marshall Field's ads aged 10 months. The couple divorced when she was two and she was raised by her single mother.
